About DizCollect.com

DizCollect was created after long conversations with friends and family who are Disney Pin Collectors  and general Disneyana collectors. We wanted a simple way to track the hundreds of items we owned on our shelves or in our pin bags without the complicated mess of spreadsheets or custom databases. Another complaint that came out of our conversations was that we wanted a simple way to track pieces of a specific collection, such as "Mickey Mouse Ear Hats". Many times we would get a pin and have no idea it was part of a larger collection or promotion. Here at DizCollect we are striving to create this ease of tracking for us AND for you.

DizCollect.com is developed by Scott Barrett, a web developer and Disney Enthusiast. Scott is also the cohost of The Betamouse Podcast, a wonderful weekly round table discussion on where Disney and Technology converge.

Currently Scott works as a full time freelancer building sites and mobile applications in all types of languages and ontop of all types of frameworks. Prior to this, he worked several years as the senior dev for Francis Ford Coppola and worked seven years at Lucasfilm and was privileged to work with a wonderful group of folks building starwars.com, lucasarts.com, indianajones.com, lucasfilm.com and all other Lucasfilm online properties.

Dizcollect has given Scott an outlet for his programming whims and discovery of new web technologies. I appreciate you looking at and using my site. Writing code and Disney is the convergence of my two loves and really satisfies an itch and to share it with you makes me all the more happier.
